The way that this woman saved me from situations I was born into and situations that I created on my own was truly amazing. She was a beacon of generosity and compassion. She adopted me instantly because she knew I needed it. She molded and instilled so many good qualities in me … all whilst celebrating the person that I was. She was truly magical. If you’re lucky, you meet a person like Yvonne once in a lifetime. I was so blessed that she let me call her mom. I will forever be grateful that she was part of my journey. My world will be a little emptier and less beautiful without her in it. Rest in peace, mom I love you to Mars and back I promise to cherish every memory, dance as much as possible, think of you when I see blue and to help as many people as possible without expectation.
